My heart once lept
At the drop of a hat
I once knew love
So I called it Amor.

We held hands as we walked

And we knew true Amor

Amor cooed in my ear.
My skin rose at the words
"I feel the same, Amor."

My heart grew closer
I swore both of ours did
But one day I came home
With a message from Amor

"We are down two different paths"
I felt my eyes cried in dispare
"This is for the best."
I fell down and cried, "No, Amor!"

I ran for Amor,
What Amor took from me.
My heart and love.
But no where was Amor

But for now my heart rest
I wait for the saving grace

The one I named Amor."

And so I wait
