Krissi & Ceaser
lets just walk and talk...

It was early in the morning and the girl had woken up here for her first day in Illinois. She brushed her hair and washed her face before brushing her teeth and heading back into her room to get dressed. She picked out a pair of black, faded skinny jeans and a white v-neck shirt which had black birds printed on it. The girl slipped on a pair of gray and black striped flats before whistling to the sleeping dog on her bed. The large black animal jumped off the bed and ran over to her, sniffing and snorting excitedly. The girl smiled and pulled her hair back behind her ear and clipped the leather leash to the dog's thick black collar.

Stepping out into the crisp morning air, the girl and the dog walked down the steps from the house and headed out to the park where the girl let the dog off the leash. Even though he wasn't on the leash, he remained by her side, trotting along happily. The girl smiled and sat down on a bench. The dog sniffed her shoe before trotting off to explore. The girl smiled and checked her phone. She was sad to see that she didn't have any texts from her friends. She had been gone for a few days now and none of them bothered to ask where she was or to tell her that they missed her. She sighed and turned off her phone and put it in her pocket.

The girl pulled her camera off from around her neck and started snapping pictures of the park and the dog who was bounding around like he had never been off the leash in his life. The girl smiled. Even though it was still early, she was hoping at least one other person was around. She sighed and turned back to the dog who was now coming up to her and resting his head on her knees. She smiled and patted his head.

"Oh Ceaser, what if we're the only ones?"

...all about what we were and what we could be.
